Questions
Selling: frequently asked questions
How do I get a valuation for my used machinery?
Email photographs and a description of each machine to sales@hmillenandson.com. Include the make, model, year, control, condition and where it stands. We will come back to you with a valuation, with no obligation.
What does it cost to sell through H. Millen & Son?
There is no fee or commission to the seller. We agree a minimum price with you in writing, and our margin is the amount the machine sells for above that minimum. Removal is arranged and paid for by us.
When am I paid?
You receive at least the agreed minimum price before the machine is collected.
How will my machine be sold?
We offer it first, direct, to the engineering firms most likely to want it. If it does not sell direct, we offer it to machinery dealers, and then at auction.
Will my company be named when the machine is marketed?
No. We market machines without naming the owner.
Can you clear a whole workshop or factory?
Yes. We handle single machines through to complete workshop and factory clearances, whether you are retiring, relocating, re-equipping or clearing a site.
